OSCAR has a proud history of lobbying for reform in the area of donations to candidates in Council elections.

Viewing political donations and expenditure on the Electronic Disclosure System (EDS)

The EDS is the “real-time” reporting portal developed by the Electoral Commission Queensland (ECQ) for viewing donations to political parties and candidates and election expenditure of candidates contesting State and Local Government elections in Queensland.

Step 1

Click to open the EDS

Step 2

Choose the View Table option.

Step 3

Choose Local or State and then select the Candidate you are interested in.
(NB You can also refine your search further based on Election periods, Date range or Amount range for more specific results.)

Step 4

Click Apply and the list of donations will be displayed (example extract shown).

Step 5

Click the Download button to export the donation details in PDF or CSV (for MS Excel) format.

Due in no small part to OSCAR’s advocacy we now have the Electronic Disclosure System in Queensland which has made our previous website redundant.

The recent legislation that has banned donations from developers is also something OSCAR lobbied for and we welcome this reform. OSCAR will continue to advocate for further reform in the area of donations and election spending.
